Ismail Ssentamu15 May, 2017
Ismail, born in 2004, is an orphan who lost his mother when he was 8 years old due to an incomplete abortion. After the death of his mom in 2012, Ismail was left under the care of his alcoholic father who didn’t care about the well-being of his son. Ismail dropped out of school in 2013 due to lack of tuition fees. Sleeping on an empty stomach was an everyday occurrence for the young boy. These circumstances traumatized Ismail and he ran to his neighbours for help and survival. He is now living with a family friend who provides him with shelter and food, however, is unable to pay for his tuition fees. Ismail was accepted by Neema Children’s Ministries, the outreach program of Kingdom Child Project. Neema Child Project’s Child Development Program provides funding toward Ismail’s education, nutritional needs and medical care.
