Odoi Xavier29 December, 2017
Odoi, born in 2009, is a destitute child who comes from a family of three children. He was abandoned by his biological parents when he was three years old. He lives with his grandmother who survives on growing food crops on a very small piece of land deep in the village of Zirobwe, Uganda. Odoi walks barefoot 10 kilometres back and forth from school. This has caused his feet to be attacked by parasitic insects called jiggers. He sometimes missed school since his grandmother was unable to consistently pay his tuition fees. Odoi was accepted by Neema Children’s Ministries, the outreach program of Kingdom Child Project. Neema Child Project’s Child Development Program provides funding toward Odoi’s education, nutritional needs and medical care. Since Odoi’s favorite subject is mathematics, he dreams of someday becoming an accountant.
